- Create a community that can discuss current issues revolving around woodlands including fields such as politics, law, economics and social science.
- give people the opportunity to explore the woodlands around North Eastern Scotland to appreciate the beauty of the Scottish woodlands and to create a positive hands on experience
- supply people with practical skills through cooperation with Aberdeen university in addition local and national nature groups.
Belief's statement
We belive in woodland management as a multipurpose tool that should bring an array of ecosystem services while promoting a sustainable system that contributes to a rich and robust biodiversity .
Our focus on ecosystem services will encompasses both the traditional forestry services, such as timber production, while also putting emphasis on less traditional services such as mental health, climate change mitigation, cultural practises and spirituality.
Furthermore we belive that the managment should promotoe global bio diversity while also being sustainable to the extent that generations in the unforeseen future should recive the equal or better level of ecosystem services and biodiversity.
in summery we belive in a new kind of woodland management that should be both for nature and for humans, and that this has to happen as these in the current socio political environment is mutually dependant.
